Camponotus herculeanus is a very common species of Carpenter ant which lives mainly in the boreal forests of Canada, preferring to avoid warmer areas. It is a fast growing species of Camponotus, and is overall smaller than Camponotus pennsylvanicus though larger than Camponotus novaeborecensis.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLike most Camponotus species, this species prefers lower humidity from 30-50% and temperatures from 23-25 degrees Celsius.
