Tarheel Ants Mini Hearth Starter Kit

The Ultimate all-in-one starter kit, this beginner kit is perfect for new ant-keepers, and is great for all of our beginner species, as well as most of our intermediate species.

Just as a warning, the nest is very small, at 4" x 2" x 4". This is a good size for starter colonies and will last through the first year of almost any species of ant. Consider yourself warned. Typically anything larger is unfit for a starting colony, and will result in impaired growth and foraging.

Nest Capacity

These are estimates as to the full number of ants that can be placed in the nest. The stated values are the BARE MINIMUM. It is recommended to add more workers than the minimum, ideally at least double or triple the quantity.
