At Canada Ant Colony, we raise and fulfill the vast majority of ants in-house. But some species, like social parasites, ants with special dietary needs (e.g. vampire ants), or species that are difficult to rear in large numbers—are a bit trickier. For these, we work closely with trusted partners who specialize in rearing and caring for these more demanding ants.

When you order one of these specialty species, your ants are shipped directly from our partners. This lets us offer a wider variety of ants without compromising care standards or colony health. However, orders containing both items from us and our partners will have higher shipping costs to compensate for shipping from both locations. Each partner is individually selected for their ability to care for rare or specialized ant species.
