Introducing our first fully in-house-designed formicarium brand, developed from our own experience keeping ants.
Designed and manufactured in Canada, this modular nesting system reflects what we look for in an ant habitat: practical humidity control, flexible colony management, straightforward expansion, and a design that accommodates colonies through multiple stages of growth.
Three independently controlled nesting sections let you adjust the available space as your colony develops, from a small founding colony to a substantial, maturing population. When it's time to expand, integrated slide-and-click connections make adding compatible nests simple, without complicated hardware or moving parts.
Paired with our acrylic outworlds and your choice of naturalistic decorations, this kit provides a coordinated habitat designed by ant keepers, for ant keepers.

- As an alternate to an ant colony, you can receive an ant colony voucher for a colony of ants. We highly suggest this option!
Here are Guidelines to Select Ant Colonies
- Colonies with workers will be more active and easier to care for
- Pavement Ants are hardy, but are small and can eat seeds
- Black Garden Ants are hardy and aggressive, but do better with a dormant period
- Hercules Carpenter Ants are large and creates soldiers but need a dormant period of 3-4 months
- Chestnut Carpenter Ants are active year round, large, and creates soldiers
- Western Harvester Ants are active year round, large, fast growing, and eat seeds
- Cherry Acrobat Ant are a small-medium beginner species, but need a dormant period of 3-4 months
- Guinea Ants are an immortal supercolonial species, grow fast and are easy to raise

Nest Capacity
These are estimates as to the full number of ants that can be placed in the nest. The stated values are the BARE MINIMUM. It is recommended to add more workers than the minimum, ideally at least double or triple the quantity.
